The perfect burger

Last night we took advantage of the incredible weather and decided to grill out.  While we were in Arizona we had the best turkey burgers of our lives and I decided to try to recreate them.  I thought I'd post the recipe because we flipped out over how good they were.

For 2 Turkey Burgers:

1 lb. lean ground turkey
1/4 cup chopped green onion
1.5 tbsp. chopped garlic
1/8 cup chopped parsley
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp. olive oil

cheese if you'd like cheese on your burger, which I suggest!
Combine all of these ingredients and form turkey into two patties.  Grill until golden brown.

Apple Chutney (I kind of mixed and matched ingredients from several recipes and this is what I ended up with. I'm sure there are other amazing apple chutney recipes out there!)

2 large tart cooking apples (such as green Granny Smith) peeled, cored, and chopped
1/4 cup apple juice
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tbsp grated fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.

Place apple peels, apple juice, sugar, cinnamon and ginger in a skillet and cook until boiling.  Boil for 5 minutes.  Remove peels and add chopped apples.  Let simmer for 3 minutes.  Remove from heat and let sit for another 5 minutes.

After your burgers are done, place the apple chutney on top of the burgers and enjoy!!
